=Introduction=


This step is optional – if you will not be using email reminders or surveys you will not need to configure email.  You may not want to (probably WILL NOT want to) turn on Risk Mail Manager during initial installation (a separate application).  The RiskMailManager program handles batch based email which is most of RiskManager mail requirements with the exception of the instant messages in Step 4 and the Survey publication messages used by the survey system.  Once scheduled the mail manager will start sending emails to users when the triggering conditions are met (like changes in responsibilities for risks and strategies, etc).  


The settings you make here will ALSO be used by the RiskMailManager application, and the survey engine.


=Configuration=


On the RM SendMail configuration tab:

* Please send a test message by clicking on the “Send Test Message” button to verify the settings made above.  The test message should be received within a short period of time.
* Click the “Save Mail Properties” button to save the settings to the system registry.

<li> In the Checklist on the right is a list of all of your currently defined connections.  Tick each connection that you wish to use these settings and then select “Apply Settings To These SurveyManager connections”.
